Role Purpose

To use technical expertise to effectively develop, maintain, and coordinate BIM models and plans across projects and departments, providing innovative solutions while upholding best practices, and adhering to regulatory requirements to ensure the accurate realization of composite models and plans aligned with project specifications and requirements.

Key Accountabilities

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Follow all relevant departmental processes, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Demonstrate compliance with the organization’s values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value-driven culture within the organization.

BIM Implementation and Integration Configuration

• Develop and update detailed BIM plans, ensuring their adherence to overall project specifications, Nesma & Partners’ Preconstruction & VDC standards and industry best practices, to improve efficiency and mitigate rework.
• Coordinate with Preconstruction & VDC departments to verify all project BEP configurations required for the seamless integration of design and construction models are correctly implemented.
• Study BIM model plans to evaluate and assess BIM model compliance throughout the project, ensuring the fulfillment of the VDC/BIM implementation plan, to support issue anticipation and resolution.
• Oversee adherence and compliance of BIM standards throughout software template files to ensure there are no deviations.
• Set up and maintain the Common Data Environment (CDE), to ensure BIM version controls are up to date, ensuring the accessibility of relevant data is readily available coordinate with the Design Team and all relevant stakeholders.
• Remain abreast on industry developments for BIM related and 3D authoring tools, to ensure the implementation of industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities

Model Supervision and Coordination

• Plan and develop composite design models to maintain seamless design coordination throughout development, ensuring the creation of robust data-rich models that effectively support the projects objectives.
• Evaluate and assess BIM models for quality, accuracy, clashes, and extract quantities, to maintain detection reports for design conflicts on all hard and soft collisions, proactively mitigating construction delays.
• Oversee the accurate integration of BIM models throughout all phases for submittals, construction models, shop drawings, and schedules.
• Ensure the extraction of all 2D drawings and specifications from relevant 3D models throughout all project’s lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Management

• Conduct all activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in compliance with internal policies and guidelines.

Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet department requirements, policies, and quality standards.

Technical Essential

Education/Certification

• Bachelors in Engineering, or any other related field.

Experience

• 2-4 years’ related experience in roles within similar positions.

Regulatory Compliance Knowledge, Computer-Aided Design (CAD and BIM), Quality control Management, Digital Documentation and Record Management, Mathematical Modeling, Design Interpretation & Engineering detailing, Building Information Modelling (BIM) proficiency and Coordination.

Techical Preferred

Education/Certification

• Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), BIM Informed Professional (BIP), or any similar certifications.

Experience

• Experience in the EPC industry.
