Role Purpose
To operate machinery for construction projects in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Accountabilities
Operational Direction
- Operate all equipment used for construction purposes (i.e., as tankers, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, compost mixers and excavators) to move materials, load, and unload goods, excavate, grade, and perform other essential tasks.
- Build levels and excavate land surfaces using a variety of construction equipment to precisely control the equipment to achieve the desired level of excavation and grading.
- Clear construction areas of debris and other hazardous materials prior to the initiation of a project that reduces potential safety hazards for other workers on-site and minimizes the risk of accidents.
- Perform a variety of pre-winter and summer maintenance activities on roads for a more streamlined and organized process.
- Gather waste and debris from work areas and load them onto trucks to be disposed for quicker and more effective waste removal.
- Transport waste to appropriate locations to be aligned with the environmental regulations and Nesma & Partners guidelines.

Operational Direction
- Perform dust control and dirt compaction by operating water tankers for gathering waste and debris from work areas and loading them onto trucks for disposal due to their expertise in operating heavy machinery and their role in maintaining a clean and safe construction site.
- Ensure that heavy equipment that is to be used on a construction project is cleaned on a regular basis.
- Maintain and update inventory of supplies, material and equipment used in each project to ensure the machinery's reliability and longevity.
- Perform preventative and general maintenance on heavy equipment in order to allocate resources more efficiently, preventing delays and optimizing productivity.
- Make sure that heavy equipment is safe for use by performing constant checks, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Ensure that all equipment is safely stored at the end of each work day and address issues promptly to prevent breakdowns and costly repairs.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and make needed repairs and perform checks to ensure that the machinery is in compliance with these safety guidelines.
- Provide feedback to supervisor on a daily basis to track the overall project timeline and make necessary adjustments to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure that work reports are prepared at the end of each day and handed over to the supervisor.

Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet PMV requirements, policies, and quality standards.

- High School/Vocational Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- 0-2 years’ related experience in roles within similar positions.

Techical Preferred
Education/Certification
- Masters in Business Administration, Engineering, or any other related field.
- Certified Engineering Sales Professional (CESP), Certified Business Development Professional (CBDP), or similar certifications.
Experience
- Experience in the EPC industry.
