Role Purpose
To facilitate the seamless integration of technical and legal aspects within contractual agreements to ensure that contracts are technically accurate, reflect correct project requirements, adhere to legal and regulatory standards, contribute to optimizing project outcomes, minimize risks, and ensure the successful execution of Nesma & Partners’ projects
Key Accountabilities
Contracts Analysis
- Thoroughly analyze contract terms, technical specifications, and conditions to guarantee consistency with project requirements, industry standards, and legal guidelines.
- Evaluate whether the contract aligns with the project's technical goals, objectives, and performance expectations to ensure that technical requirements are properly incorporated.
- Compare the contract scope with project plans, technical documentation, and stakeholder expectations to verify that all relevant scope elements are adequately addressed.
- Assess the technical feasibility of contract deliverables, considering factors such as engineering constraints, resources, timelines, and project limitations to ensure that the contractual commitments made within the contract are achievable and realistic within the practical and technical context of the project.
Key Accountabilities
Contracts Operations
- Serve as a technical liaison during contract negotiations by providing input on technical aspects, feasibility concerns, and potential risks, resulting in well-balanced and effective contract terms.
- Assist in the development and drafting of contract documents, incorporating technical specifications, scopes of work, engineering drawings, and relevant project details to create a comprehensive and transparent agreement that accurately represents the technical aspects of a project.
- Monitor and evaluate contract execution to ensure that technical requirements are met, and deliverables align with agreed-upon specifications.
- Revise contracts and propose technical changes where needed to ensure accurate documentation and effective communication of modifications to relevant stakeholders.
- Evaluate technical performance and progress of contractors, suppliers, and vendors against contract requirements and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure that all parties involved in a project are meeting their contractual obligations in terms of technical deliverables, quality, and timelines.
- Provide technical expertise to address and resolve contract-related disputes, claims, or technical issues in collaboration with legal and project teams.
- Verify that all technical requirements and deliverables have been fulfilled and documented appropriately to ensure comprehensive technical closeout of contracts,

Risk Assessment
- Identify and assess technical and engineering-related risks within contracts, working with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for risk mitigation.
Vendor and Supplier Communication
- Collaborate with suppliers, and subcontractors to clarify technical expectations, address challenges, and ensure adherence to contract specifications.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise with the Legal team to ensure that technical and engineering-related aspects of contracts are accurately reflected and legally compliant.
- Actively engage with relevant stakeholders across Nesma & Partners to contribute to the successful execution of projects while ensuring that technical aspects align with contractual obligations and project goals.

- Follow all relevant Contracts & Legal processes, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet Contracts & Legal requirements, policies, and quality standards.

Technical Essential
Education/Certification
- Bachelors in Engineering, or any other relevant field.
Experience
- 4 years’ related experience in roles within similar positions.

Techical Preferred
Education/Certification
- Masters in Business Administration, Law (LLM), Engineering, Construction Management, or any other related field. Legal or Construction Law, or similar certifications.
